Why educators love DoneGrading

Three pillars that give you your time — and energy — back.

DoneGrading doesn’t replace your judgment. It handles the repetitive parts of teaching so you can focus on high‑value work: rich feedback, relationships, and actual instruction.

📝

Grade faster, give better feedback

  • Scan a stack of papers; see scores & draft feedback in seconds.
  • Reuse custom rubrics for every assignment — no retyping criteria.
  • Highlight misconceptions; the AI suggests feedback you can edit, not auto‑post.
  • Post grades to Google Classroom and email students with attached scans in one flow.
📚

Plan lessons in minutes, not hours

  • Generate lesson skeletons aligned to your objective and grade level in under 30 seconds.
  • Ask for differentiation ideas for 3–5 readiness levels with concrete examples.
  • Instantly create discussion questions, exit tickets, and quick‑check formative assessments.
  • Save your favorite prompts as “routines” for warm‑ups, stations, and project work.
💬

Communicate clearly with families

  • Use bilingual templates (English/Spanish) to send quick positive notes, reminders, and behavior follow‑ups.
  • Log calls and emails to a secure Google Sheet so you never lose track of outreach.
  • Translate key messages into 20+ languages with a single tap.
  • Keep everything in one place so conferences and IEP meetings are less stressful.

In practice, DoneGrading fits into your day like this:

1
Open the app, choose your class, and scan today’s work.
2
Review suggested scores & feedback, make tweaks in your own voice.
3
Post grades to Classroom and send quick updates to students and families.
4
Use your freed‑up prep time to breathe, co‑plan, or go home on time.

Is DoneGrading allowed under FERPA and COPPA?
Yes. DoneGrading is built with FERPA/COPPA in mind. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and is processed only to deliver the features you use. We never sell student data or use it to train public models.
Does it work with Google Classroom?
Absolutely. Sign in with Google, sync your Classroom courses, and post grades and feedback directly. No double‑entry, no fragile CSV imports.
Will this replace my judgment?
No. DoneGrading suggests scores and feedback based on your rubric, but you review, adjust, and approve every decision. You stay the professional in the loop.
What if I don't actually save time or don’t like it?
You get a 7‑day free trial. If DoneGrading doesn’t save you at least 10 minutes a day, cancel before the trial ends — you pay nothing. After that it’s 67¢/day and you can cancel anytime.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. DoneGrading runs on iOS, Android, and web. Scan papers with your phone, finish feedback on your laptop, or do both in between periods.
